Featured in Sophisticated Living Weddings Magazine Summer 2010

I meant to post this much earlier, but then commenced the crazy busy season, and I've been shooting weddings and engagement sessions almost non-stop, in addition to all the back-end work many people forget or don't know about, which includes all the proofing, sorting, editing, retouching, archiving, etc. etc, and of course designing albums, meeting with clients, endless emails, and no sleep. :) I'm certainly not complaining, though, not being busy this time of year would be terrifying!

I would say that any Louisville wedding photographer, perhaps even every wedding photographer in Kentucky, feels very proud when their photos are featured in the Weddings Edition of the Sophisticated Living magazine. There are only two issues a year, and I'm happy to say that I've consistently had my wedding photography included in every issue for 2 years now.

So I am very honored to announce that four of my 2009 wedding season photos made it in the Weddings Edition. On page 58 (lower left ; credited as KL Phy Photography) there is a detail shot of a cake. Oh what a gorgeous wedding this was! Those familiar with the museum might recognize the location, the esteemed Speed Art Museum here in Louisville. I'd LOVE to get more weddings booked there--what a dream, to shoot among all those masterpieces! In the lower center of page 60 ( credited as KL Puckett--??? All my submissions were labeled with my new business name, KL Phy Photography ) there is another cake shot. The photograph was cropped for the magazine layout, but the lower tiers of the cake were also draped in the beautiful chocolate ribbon. On page 66 (center ; credited as KL Phy Photography ) you'll find another shot from the Speed Museum in Louisville, and then another on the upper right of page 67 ( credited as Kl Puckett Photography - again, ??? Grr.) This fun photograph was taken at none other than the Great American Ballpark, home of the Cincinnati Reds. How totally cool to have access to the locker rooms, dugouts, and the field! Oh, we got some fun fun fun pictures! Too bad we were only allowed about 15 minutes on the field, but we made great use of the time. I don't think I've even blogged that wedding yet. Keep an eye out and I'll get to it eventually!

I already know that I am going to have some wonderful submissions for the fall issue too!  Can't wait!  I love seeing my work in print.  Makes my mama proud, too :)
